European English Aglow Eindhoven
You are warmly invited to our Aglow meeting on:
Saturday 10 October from 9:30 – 12:30
at Hoogstraat 297, 5654 NA Eindhoven
(in the grounds of Lambertuskerk)
“Clean out your garden for what I am going to plant.”
Guest: Kris Pol
Kris is a long standing member of our Eindhoven Aglow Chapter. She writes:
These are the words I heard God say to me at an Aglow meeting almost two years ago. Because I’m so literal minded, I went out into my rather overgrown vegetable patch at the back of my actual garden and started the long process of trying to make it a productive garden again. God had me where he clearly wanted me, and has been teaching me lessons in the physical, temporal garden of my life, that have had a huge impact on my “regular” life as a wife, mother, and homemaker, as well as on my spiritual life. As we enter into a season of celebrating the harvest, we’ll take a look at what God is wanting to grow in our lives, as well as taking stock of the state of our spiritual gardens. Because Jesus said:
“… I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last.” (John 15:16b) and
“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” (John 15:8)
Kris married Evert-Jan 19 years ago, moved a week later to the Netherlands, and in the course of time became mother of Sander, Lisanne, and Danielle. I am an avid knitter and gardener, a rather ineffective housekeeper by nature, and have just started playing clarinet. I came to know Jesus as my Savior in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, attending Trinity Church Eindhoven and following Him since then, and have embraced my role as a disciple in the dirt, especially since it’s in the garden that God speaks to me the most.
Coffee and cake will be available before and after the meeting.
An offering will be taken.
There will not be any crèche facilities available.
Who are we? We are women from different Nations and Christian denominational background, currently living in the Eindhoven region. We speak English, often as a second or third language, and we desire to know more of God.
“The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor Him, for He is your Lord.”Psalm 45 : 11
At Aglow our aim is that women are “Aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord.” Romans 12:11b (AMP). We facilitate this by fostering greater intimacy with God, by worship and by teaching His truths. Filled with His Joy, our desire is to bless others.
